I needed this book when I was in high school! I wasn't the skinny, athletic girl and in all honesty, I struggled very hard with confidence. It wasn't till I got older, went to college, and found my independence that I was able to value myself outside of looks. I love that this book and the series as a whole are about curvy girls finding love with men society often says, "We shouldn't be with." I appreciate heroines that are strong and aren't perfect. This book was such a cute story and gave me hope for future literature for girls.

Plot: Rory is a curvy girl who is trying to navigate high school and her family all while being diagnosed with PCOS. She wants to do well and often just goes with the flow until one day she finally had it. Another girl in her health class, the same one taught by her very own mother, decides to degrade her and others because of their size. Rory stands up for herself and in the process signed herself up for a dare. Can she, Rory, grab the attention of Beckett Langley and get him to attend homecoming with her? She ventures outside of the box that she has put herself in and gets to know this amazingly sweet quarterback. In the process, she finds her strengths and meets a great group of ladies along the way.
Review: This was such a sweet YA novel that was a quick read. If you love cute romances this is definitely one you should add to your list. It has those adorable moments that make me believe in happily ever afters, but also hits on some tough moments that girls can struggle with in high school. (I could relate.) I gave it 4/5 stars for what it is. It's not for everyone but if you love those cute, quirky YA romance books check this out. More curvy girls finding love is a market I'm all for so if you have any recommendations send them my way! #YA #yanovel #romance #plussize
