I have nothing but beautiful things to write about this religious memoir. I have always been interested in the life of celebrities, especially those that I admire. So when the chance to read a book written by the PenaVegas came along I was thrilled! I have always been a fan of Alexa PenaVega since she was on Spy Kids. I fell more in love with the couple during their movies on the Hallmark Channel. The fact that they got to work together as a married couple I found beautiful. I took it upon myself to look them up and I started to follow them on social media. I always try to find positive people. People who make me strive for more or hold similar ideals to mine to follow. My goal has always been to surround myself with positive people and the PenaVegas exude that.

Alexa and Carlos both put their heart on their sleeve and share their lives purely. This brings a level of honesty and truth to their writing. They both tell their stories of their early lives, demons, and the journey to know Jesus by bouncing back and forth between authoring chapters. I love how we get to know them both separately and when they find each other. The structure of the memoir progresses from both of their early journeys in entertainment to them growing their beautiful family. The memoir shows that even with fame and money, that life will put obstacles in your way because we are all human. Their willingness to share those tough times and how Jesus helped to guide them through them all made it an inspiring read. I also enjoyed the last section of the book where they lay out their values because "Love is the Point." They go through each value that is steadfast in their relationship/ family and how they demonstrate that in their lives. This gives a great framework for goals and values for your own family. Many are ones I'm sure we all hold close. However, hearing a different perspective and different way to demonstrate it can be a reminder to hold those values close.
I personally am on a spiritual journey and reading this book really helped to develop that spiritual part of me. I found peace in knowing that the journey to Jesus is not always easy and that when you truly tap into that relationship with him he will lead you were you need to be. Their honest testimonies made me connect with both PenaVegas in a way I hadn't before. It also made me consider how I might better connect to Jesus as they did. The memoir overall was a pleasant read and I definitely suggest it to anyone on their own spiritual journey. I give it 5/5 Stars! #memoir #religious #Jesus #PenaVega #love #values
