If you are looking for a short audiobook that hits on romance, holiday joy, and the love of dogs look no further!

Plot: The story follows Mary Landry who loves Christmas and helping at her local shelter. She takes a pregnant rescue dog home for Christmas, but on her way, her car breaks down. Lucky for her she is able to spot a Cabin whose owner, Nick Carstairs is keeping it warm. This former cop and current True Crime Podcast host has lost the Christmas Spirit. He is struggling with the fact that his son is spending the holidays in Disney World with his mom and is in a full-blown "Bah Humbug" state. He wants to just hide away in this cabin unnoticed until his boy returns, he realizes quite quickly that his plans are about to get turned on their head the moment Mary knocks on his door with her rescue dog Angel. Christmas is about to get a little more Holly, Jolly, and Cute!
My Thoughts: To be honest I picked this audible for the fact that it was a quick listen, clocking in at only 2hours and 30mins. I also was completely enticed by there being a dog, not going to lie. I LOVE dogs and having two cuties right now, possibly more to come, made me click on this story just in hopes that the dog would end up in a good home. Spoiler: She did! The story overall was a cute romance of opposites attracting, very beauty and the beast with Nick being the grumpy beast to Mary's cheery elf. I would have to give it a 2.5 overall out of 5, it was good but I felt like it kinda ran together and it had some moments that felt like they sparked quick. Overall a cute, short read if you are looking for one.
